Read for a bit of a background on me and who I am.


You’re probably on this page because you want to know who the heck it is I am, what do I stand for, and why should you hire me?

I’m a dot points kinda gal, I’m going to guess you probably are too. So I’m going to list a few things that I stand for, and stand against.

+ I design with the end in mind – meaning – design has a specific purpose. Selling a course? It needs to communicate directly with the people buying it. (It’s not just window dressing.)

+ I’m a rule breaker and storm trooper (see what I did there?)

+ I want your design to stand up and be noticed, & I want it to encompass who you are in an authentic way

+ I love BIG ideas, and want to think outside the dodecahedron (or square if you prefer)

+ I want each project I work on to be collaborative, I’m not a design monkey kinda gal

+ I stand for authenticity in business and can’t stand shove it in your face kind of marketing and selling

+ I will guide you to build your brand from the ground up, so it’s sustainable and most importantly, flexible (so when your brand changes in the future, you’ll be able to build it from the inside out)


Design is a tool (not in the vulgar slang sense of the word, the nice functional definition) 

Design is often disregarded as many people are taking up DIY, not that I have anything against DIY, infact I love it (Check out my Barefoot Branding Academy! but if you’re not trained in design for marketing purposes often it can be a case of design-for-design’s-sake. Which we DO NOT want. I believe successful design that has been created with a solid marketing backbone really is the difference between a good brand and a GREAT one.

When I was 11, I wrote on the walls of our cubby house that I wanted to be “an artist, graphic designer, or an actor!” I think mainly because I thought being a graphic designer meant that I’d be a celebrity and have cool shiny black clothes, high heels and expensive wares. What I now know is that idea of a designer couldn’t be farther from the truth – design is a communication tool, that can help you to bring the best of you and your business to life, and effectively market your services and have them understood in an instant.

I have a Bachelor of Communication Design

I spent 5 years studying the art of design at 3 different universities across Australia, finishing up at Swinburne University in Melbourne. What I know now that I didn’t know then was that credentials don’t hold a candle to life experience, I’ve learnt more in the last 6 months then I did in the last few years working for a company. To be honest I haven’t even framed my uni degree – it’s still rolled up in it’s postage container because as soon as I left uni I knew I was only scratching the surface of what design really meant.

I love creativity, and DIY. I make my own fabric flowers, my own soap, my own lip gloss, and I wish I could make my own clothes. I love Pinterest / apartment therapy / and Ikea hackers. I also love fabric, even if I can only sew a straight line. I’m kinaesthetic, so love ceramics, woodworking, knitting, crafting, and anything to do with up cycling.

I’m a cubicle phobe, and have always done things a little differently. I’m an empath, and I’m highly intuitive. I’m also compassionate and highly creative.
